Ashley Olsen Safe After Flight Makes Emergency Landing
05/17/2010
Ashley Olsen, accompanied by her boyfriend, and other celebs were aboard a Los Angeles bound flight from New York on Sunday that was forced to make an emergency landing in Virginia.
An electrical fire sparked in the cockpit, causing the windshield to crack. Calling it a "harrowing experience," passenger and publicist Phil Lobel told ET that this "obscured the pilot's ability to conduct a visual landing." Emergency vehicles greeted the plane on the runway to stabilize the situation before successfully unloading all passengers and crewmembers.
"Californication"'s Pamela Adlon and "Jersey Boys"' Jarrod Spector also survived this incident on the United flight. Once in the terminal at Dulles, passengers bonded and celebrated their safe emergency landing.
